learning programming…
Just last weekend, I started learning one of my interests lately …PROGRAMMING..haha..yes, you read it right and yes you’re still reading one of my blogs.
I know it’s kinda unbelievable for a communication arts graduate to be learning programming but maybe I’m just looking for some diversions…Programming really interests me these days and so I’m starting to do something about it.
Joanna, my programming expert friend advised me to download and try WAMP – Windows,Apache,MySQL,PhP (i hope i didn’t get it wrong). Joanna said that I could actually learn programming by myself. I’m still not sure about learning it by myself but what the heck, trying won’t kill me. And so I downloaded it and installed it in my computer. But it took me 2 weeks to finally try it because I definitely can’t do it in the office with all the work i have to do.
Until I finally tried it last weekend at home. I was kinda brave of trying it that time because Joanna was online as well and I can ask her questions if i need to. hehe..She gave me a site where I can access tutorials on programming. It’s http://www.webmonkey.com/webmonkey/programming/php/tutorials.
First, I read the introductions and then started on php. I was able to follow the instructions and I actually was able to make something on my localhost. Yipee!!!! I’m getting the hang of it. But of course I have some questions, which made me disturb “the working Joanna” and bomb her with my questions..hehe..Jo was very patient with me that day, answering all my queries.
With all my questions answered, I decided to stop at that level and continue again if I have time. I know I still have to learn A LOT. As in super a lot in programming but at least I’m already a half-step there. 🙂

Cool! Yay! Happy for you! 😀 Just don’t stop learning, you’ll be fine. 😀
hehe..thanks for dropping by diane and thanks for the encouragement..:-) you can be one of my tutors too..hehe…:-)
A mentor’s job is to take a bunch of live wires and see that they are well-grounded. Surprise!!! You are well grounded, you have the potential…
“Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential
wow…lalim nun ah..hehe..thanks my mentor…don’t worry i’ll continue learning as much as i can…
