He’s Just Not That Into You…
May 17, 2009 at 11:15 pm | In my life... | 3 CommentsI was at this place looking for dvd copies of ‘I Love You Man’ and ‘Ghost of Girlfriend’s Past’ when I saw a copy of ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’.
It’s a good movie. It’s not an in-depth movie like ‘The Reader’ or ‘Benjamin Button’ type but a lot of people will be able to relate to it.
It’s a star-studded movie starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlet Johanssen, Jennifer Connelly, and Justin Long.
Things to keep in mind after watching the movie:
* If the guy did not call you, it means he’s not interested. It’s not because he’s busy or something happened to him. He’s just not that into you. According to Alex (Justin Long) in the movie, a guy will do everything just to reach the girl he likes. Thus, if you do not hear anything from him, don’t waste your time coming up with excuses ’cause HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. Simple as that.
* Marriage is not an obligation. Being together for like 10 years does not mean you should get married because it is expected. The desire for it should be mutual to make it work.
* One should not look for love. It will just happen. Well, that’s what the movie implied anyway.
All in all, I like the movie and I do not regret watching it.. =)
the facebook fever…
May 16, 2009 at 12:55 am | In my life... | Leave a CommentFriendster..Myspace..hi5..Tagged..Multiply..and Facebook. These are not the only existing social networking sites nowadays. Why are people so fond of these kind of sites? and what makes Facebook different?
I think everybody will agree with me that Facebook is the most sought after social networking sites now and I am guilty of this myself.
First of all, people join these sites not just to meet new friends but also to stay connected with long time friends and family from different locations. It is a fact that as people mature, they tend to go on separate ways depending on where fate or their dreams will take them. SMS messaging is not enough. They’re just words. Phonecalls would be too costly. Thus, the birth of online social networking sites. With these sites, you can see photos and the latest updates among your buddies.
So what made Facebook different?
It has a lot of new and unique features that other sites do not have. The features that I like best are the history of what your friends have been up to, the facebook chat, the notification part, the fact that you can exhange messages in one’s status like you’re just chatting, the way it updates you if there are new messages or comments entered by other people, the photo tagging, and the quizzes.
And it does not stop there. Facebook has a lot of features but it never looked crowded or overboard. They made it so organized that you will never get choked up with all the applications that it offers.
I’ve had an account with Facebook since 2007 and it was so boring back then. But now that it is like the hottest site among others, I came to love it na. haha..
But we wouldn’t know how much the facebook fever will last. Oh well, let’s just enjoy it while it lasts! =)
